John Barlow, a Director of the Firm, concentrates his practice in real estate matters of all types. He has over thirty years experience in the practice of real estate, including closings, foreclosures, boundary disputes, and title matters. He is co-editor of Skelton on the Legal Elements of Boundaries and Adjacent Properties (Lexis Law Publishing, 1997) and has lectured extensively on real estate matters at the Wake Forest University School of Law.

John is an active member of the North Carolina Bar, South Carolina Bar, American Bar Association, and the Greensboro Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a member of the North Carolina U.S. District Court Bars.  John is licensed to practice in North and South Carolina.

John received his law degree from Wake Forest University in 1970 and undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1963.  Prior to joining Tuggle Duggins, John was secretary and general counsel to C. Douglas Wilson & Company, mortgage bankers, where he gained extensive experience in commercial lending and loanworkouts.
