Emma Merritt, an Associate, is a member of the Dispute Resolution & Litigation practice group. Her practice focuses on litigating and resolving commercial and general business disputes.
Emma obtained her law degree in May 2006 from Wake Forest University School of Law. In law school she was an active member of the Moot Court Board and the Gabrielli Family Law Moot Court Team. Emma was also a member of the Student Trial Bar and a finalist in the Edwin M. Stanley Moot Court Competition. Prior to law school, Emma graduated in 2003 from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in English. She is a native of Mount Airy, North Carolina, and a graduate of Salem Academy.
Emma is licensed to practice law before the North Carolina State Courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, and she is a member of the North Carolina and Greensboro Bar Associations.
Emma participates in various community organizations including the Junior League of Greensboro, Guilford County Teen Court, the Greensboro Future Fund, and Prelude Society.
