Tuggle Duggins P.A. seeks an associate to join our fast paced business litigation team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for long-term professional growth and a competitive compensation package. A minimum of 4 years of Litigation experience is required. Experience in the North Carolina Business Court and Federal Court is strongly preferred, as is, at a minimum, second chair trial or arbitration experience The successful candidate will need strong collaboration and adaptability skills. Communication skills and strong attention to detail are also critical to the success of all attorneys.
Responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively and at the direction of senior attorneys
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other related litigation documents
- Conduct research, document review, and have the ability to oversee younger attorneys
- Argue motions and handle client matters independently, or with limited oversight
- Coordinate, collaborate and support other litigation attorneys
- Organize filing of litigation documents and processes
- Ensure compliance of all local, state, and federal laws relating to litigation matters
- Conduct depositions and run day-to-day activities on litigation matters, including complex, multi-party, multi-jurisdictional matters
