Clint Cogburn provides his clients with sound legal counsel for litigating and resolving commercial and general business disputes. His approach for helping his clients combines applied knowledge of legal principles and practical counsel. Clint works hard for his clients. He is driven to uncovering the issues facing a client and works diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for the business.
His ultimate goal is to understand his client’s objectives and work efficiently to provide cost-effective, and practical solutions for any business dispute.
While at Vanderbilt University School of Law, Clint was a Dean’s Scholar as well as Development Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. During his time at the University of Georgia, he was inducted in Phi Beta Kappa and was a Member of the Arch Society.
Recent Representative Matters
- Represented a national convenience store chain in its acquisition of access and land from the State of North Carolina for regional development.
- Represented numerous landowners and businesses throughout the Triad in the successful rezoning and permitting of properties, assisting clients with all facets of the process, from due diligence and filing of application materials to appearing on behalf of clients before municipal boards and councils.
- Served as co-counsel in a bench trial in the North Carolina Business Court and obtained a successful verdict against a trade finance company on behalf of an international timber company in a matter involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair trade practices, and conversion.
- Advised and assisted large-scale renewable energy system companies in the rezoning and permitting of properties throughout North Carolina.
Outside of the Office
When not in the office, Clint stays active by engaging in a number of different activities, including weight-training, basketball, and running. He is a diehard fan of UGA (Go Dawgs!), Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves, and Charlotte Hornets. Originally from Asheville, NC, Clint enjoys exploring the many things the Greensboro has to offer.
