The Morehead-Cain Foundation, which oversees the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina, has appointed Scott C. Gayle to serve on its Regional Selection Committee beginning in 2012. The Regional Selection Committee helps interview and select high school seniors for the prestigious full-ride four year scholarship at UNC-CH. A Morehead Scholar himself in 1970, Gayle received a B.A. with Highest Honors in Creative Writing from UNC-CH in 1974.
