We’re proud to share that Tuggle Duggins real estate attorney Joshua R. Plummer has been profiled in the May 2026 issue of NC Lawyer, the magazine of the North Carolina Bar Association.

The feature, “Joshua Plummer — Two Worlds, One Calling,” traces Josh’s path from a nearly sixteen-year career as a United States Marine to his second career in the law. After retiring from the Marine Corps in 2019, Josh attended Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as a Legal Writing teaching assistant and a symposium editor for the Wake Forest Law Review, and volunteered with the school’s Veterans Legal Clinic. He joined Tuggle Duggins this spring and now focuses his practice on real estate matters for the firm’s business clients.

The profile explores how Josh’s military experience — including seven deployments and leadership roles in infantry, intelligence, and special operations — shaped the capabilities he brings to his legal work: leadership, problem-solving, and relationship building. It also touches on his continued service to the veteran community through the NCBA Military & Veterans Law Section Council and as a board member of The Reason Outdoors, a nonprofit that connects veterans through time spent in nature.

As Josh puts it in the piece, the common thread across both careers is straightforward: serving others.
