2027 Wyndham Championship with Tuggle Duggins
There are a few dates the firm blocks off every year without much discussion, and Saturday of the Wyndham Championship is one of them.
For years, the Wyndham has been Greensboro’s tournament, drawing PGA Tour players, national broadcasts and generations of local families to Sedgefield Country Club each August. Tuggle Duggins has been part of it for a long time, hosting clients, friends of the firm and their families in our tent on the 10th green.
This year’s Saturday delivered what we have come to love about the day, including great golf, good weather, a steady rotation of players moving through the 10th hole and hours of unhurried time with the people who make our practice what it is.
The People
Our clients are what make a day like this feel less like an event and more like a reunion. Many of the people in the tent have been part of the Tuggle Duggins story for a long time, while others were joining us for the first time. All of them are the reason we do what we do.
“Our clients are the best part of practicing law at Tuggle Duggins,” said Natalie Folmar, Managing Partner. “The Wyndham is one of the few days each year when we can slow down, spend real time connecting with them and their families and enjoying each other’s company. It is a Greensboro tradition and it is one of our favorite days of the year.”
The Details
The tent was set with green linens and centerpieces of sunflowers and roses, and Tuggle Duggins visors were available for anyone who wanted one. Guests enjoyed a hole-in-one contest with prizes to be delivered to the winners, a steady flow of food and drinks and, most importantly, the view down the fairway from a shaded tent with a good breeze.
The best moments were the ones that could not be planned. An attorney introduced a longtime client to a colleague who might help with a new matter down the road. Children met other children, spouses traded recommendations and group gathered here and there telling stories of summer adventures and hopes for the fall.
