Tuggle Duggins P.A., a Greensboro-based business law firm serving closely held businesses and their owners across the globe, today announced that Joshua R. Plummer has joined the firm as an associate. Plummer’s practice focuses on commercial real estate — including acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, tax credits, and affordable housing — alongside transactional corporate and business law matters.
Plummer brings a distinctive combination of legal acuity and real-world operational experience to his practice. Before earning his law degree, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, retiring from active duty in 2019 after a distinguished career. That background — characterized by high-stakes decision-making, disciplined execution under pressure, and an unwavering focus on mission outcomes — informs the way he approaches every transaction on behalf of his clients.
“Joining Tuggle Duggins means being part of a firm that genuinely serves its clients across the full spectrum of their professional needs. The depth of capability here — from corporate transactions and real estate to estate planning and litigation — is exactly what sophisticated business clients need, and I’m proud to be part of that team.”

“Josh brings a level of discipline and perspective that is immediately evident to anyone who works with him,” said Natalie Folmar, Managing Partner at Tuggle Duggins. “His background — both in the Marine Corps and in complex real estate transactions — makes him a tremendous asset to our clients and to the firm.”
Plummer is a VA Accredited Attorney and brings particular experience serving veterans navigating real estate and business legal matters. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina and before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Western, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina. He is a member of the Greensboro Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Plummer earned his J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as a Symposium Editor for the Wake Forest Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University, graduating with distinction.
Outside the office, Plummer serves on the Board of Directors for The Reason Outdoors, a veteran-founded nonprofit that helps veterans and first responders find healing through outdoor experiences and ecotherapy. He lives in Greensboro with his wife and their four sons.
