Tuggle Duggins P.A. is pleased to announce that Senior Counsel James “Jim” N. Duggins, Jr. has been named to the Professional Advisors Honorary Circle of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro (CFGG). The Honorary Circle recognizes senior-level professionals — firm principals, managing partners and thought leaders — who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing philanthropy in the Greater Greensboro region.

A founding member of Tuggle Duggins, Duggins has spent more than 50 years practicing at the intersection of law and accounting. His practice spans corporate and business law, tax planning, and estate planning and wealth management — including charitable gift planning and business succession — giving him a unique vantage point on the role philanthropy plays in the financial lives of business owners and their families. He earned his J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served as Business Manager of the Law Review. He received his B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

The Honorary Circle designation reflects a career defined not only by legal and financial expertise but by a sustained commitment to community impact. Duggins joins a select group of honorees drawn from the Greater Greensboro professional community, including leaders from Brooks Pierce, Carruthers & Roth, Schell Bray, Diversified Trust Company and Ward Black Law.

Tuggle Duggins has a deep connection to CFGG’s Professional Advisors program. Director Erin C. V. Bailey currently serves on the Professional Advisors Committee, and Kristin Landrum is a CPA active member of the Professional Advisors Network — reflecting the firm’s broader culture of integrating philanthropic counsel into the legal and financial advisory services it provides to business owners and their families.

“Jim helped build this firm on the principle that practicing law is both a privilege and a public trust. That philosophy has shaped how we serve our clients and how we show up in our community. This recognition from the Community Foundation reflects a career spent living those values — and it’s one our entire firm is proud of.”

Natalie C. Folmar, Managing Partner
