Tuggle Duggins is pleased to welcome Lauren Slack to the firm’s real estate practice.
Lauren comes to the firm by the shortest possible route: she grew up in Greensboro, graduated from Northwest Guilford High School and spent the summer of 2025 here as a summer associate. When it came time to choose where to start her career, she chose the place she already knew.
“When hiring a young lawyer, you know you’re going to get someone who is smart. Getting someone who is also driven and already knows the firm’s community inside and out is a grand slam. Lauren’s deep Guilford County roots will serve her and her clients well for decades to come. I cannot wait to practice with her.” said Cory Rayborn, who will have the honor of presenting Lauren for admission at her swearing-in ceremony in Guilford County on October 8.
Lauren earned her J.D. this year from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as an Articles and Notes Editor of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal and was named a Dean’s Fellow. She holds a B.A. in psychology and criminology from North Carolina State University, and passed the North Carolina bar exam in July. At Tuggle Duggins she will focus on real estate, with early interests in commercial leasing and landlord-tenant work, while taking on matters across the firm’s practice groups as new associates here do.
“I summered at Tuggle Duggins and knew before the summer ended that this was where I wanted to start my career. The people made the work fun, and coming home to Greensboro to do it makes it even better.”
Outside the office, Lauren is a reader, a trail walker and a longtime volunteer with Juliet’s House Animal Rescue in Greensboro, where she fostered cats and dogs for three years.
Please join us in welcoming her to the firm.
