Jeff Dunham
Jeff Dunham develops practical solutions to the real issues his clients face in real property transactions. Striving first to work with clients to avoid problems altogether, Jeff also serves his clients by quickly grasping their issues, solving real estate problems with creative solutions and helping close deals in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Jeff is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified specialist in Business, Commercial, and Industrial Transactions, and has been assisting clients with their legal needs for more than 32 years. He represents buyers, owners and sellers of commercial real estate, and helps with drafting all commercial real estate agreements, Title Examinations, foreclosures, and closing commercial real estate transactions. His clients span a variety of industries, including solar, furniture, hospitality and financial services.
A frequent speaker to professionals within the real estate industry, Jeff also serves on the local Advisory Board for First National Bank and is on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Land Title Association.
Recent Representative Matters
- When a client wanted to rehabilitate a historic apartment project in Lexington, Jeff helped her through the complicated historic tax credit and construction loan financing to make the project happen.
- When a solar farm client’s only access to a large proposed solar site was across a long abandoned railroad spur line, Jeff worked with the client and the title insurance company to secure the title insurance coverage the client needed for financing and constructing the project.
Outside of the Office
Despite growing up in Eastern North Carolina, Jeff is an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. In addition, he follows sports at both his undergraduate as well as law school alma maters – Wake Forest University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – which can cause some angst when the teams are playing against one another. Jeff also enjoys staying active, and recently completed his 2nd marathon.
